The Story

Chris played a major part in the planning of his wedding with his bride Jessica by his side. They were just the perfect couple and desired a casual and fun filled day with their two gorgeous children and close family and friends.

A wedding budget sometimes restricts the decisions you make when booking items such as a marquee and that’s what happened on this occasion when they decided to risk the light weight marque option. We had so many laughs setting up the country scene, with straw bales for seating and yards of home made denim and lace bunting, it was rustic and picture perfect.

We were all ready on the beach for the brides arrival just as a strong sea breeze picked up sweeping inland. To our amazement the marquee buckled under the strain. My assistant Lisa managed to rescue the cake and sweets counter and the whole congregation came together to move everything to a new location, even the bunting and bales. In only 20 minutes the ceremony was ready to continued again and the wind had moved on as fast as it had arrived.

The star light sky that night was just magical and the bride and groom couldn’t have been happier. Its certainly a story they will tell for years to come.
