The Riwaka Resurgence also known as Riuwaka Resurgence and (Tureauraki) is a naturally beautiful water way where the purest spring water finds its way into daylight after years of filtration through the marble caves system on the Takaka Hill in the Kahurangi National Park.
The gateway to the short walk gives a Maori warm welcome as you enter the cool native forest where the water meanders clear and cold into tranquil pools, once used as birthing pools by the Maori women. The moss and Lichen covered trees and water-worn marble rock create a fairyland quality perfect for romance.
This can be combined with a ceremony or photo shoot in the Ngarua Caves
