The Story

Lauren & Andrew had experienced a difficult search to find the right venue that really expressed their casual style and personalities and give their international guests a true Kiwi experience. As a professional I had many possibilities up my sleeve but they finally settled on a lovely all in one venue in Golden Bay. What a relief that was!

Unfortunately news was becoming all about this strange virus that was spreading fast across many country boarders and eventually hit New Zealand, crashing countless couples dream wedding day plans.

The emotional struggle to keep positive that all would be Ok came to an abrupt end with the announcement of an imminent Alert Level 4 Lockdown.

Within just a few days, everything including notifications to their approximate 50 guests that their wedding would be cancelled and they whittled the invitees to under 10 and we created a very quick and intimate micro wedding at Split Apple Rock beach. Its not something you can compare but it certainly ticked all the boxes for Lauren and Andrew to move forward together with their children as a family
