Split Apple Rock, Beach Wedding
The Story
Arnika and Dave contacted me for help them with some wedding planning items and to be their celebrant on a beach I hold very close to my heart. The iconic rock has an eclectic background story depending who tells it but either way it holds a sense of majesty about it. The rock has been used in numerous Kiwi marketing campaigns by Tourism New Zealand and New Zealand Air to name just two and is very likely the most photographed rock in New Zealand, as its placed at the gate way to the Abel Tasman National Park, equally well known and capturing the highest number of visitors than any national park in New Zealand.
Arnika and David decided to charter a commercial scenic cruise to transport their wedding guests to the beach to save them walking down the 10 minute steep track and to give Arnika a very interesting entrance once everyone was ready for the ceremony to begin.
The solo guitarist really added to the romance and atmosphere and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Once the photos and ceremony were over they continued a scenic charter around the two islands, while enjoying the tasty Tasman picnic I had organized for them. They had a fantastic day.
